Biomedical researcher with specialized training in quantitative methodology. Manages, cleans, manipulates, and analyzes data in the service of the advancement of research and maintenance of group operations. Experience with one or more data types including next-generation sequencing, genome-wide associations, epigenetics, transcriptomics, or proteomics is required. Designs and implements reusable bioinformatics analysis pipelines for processing genetics/genomics data and integrates computational methods/pipelines within high performance computing clusters. Experience with cloud-computing is ideal. Constructs visualizations to depict trends and associations, conducts exploratory data analyses, and develops reports and summaries to communicate results to colleagues. Works within a biomedical research team to facilitate the production of scientific work product (e.g. design and execution of studies or experiments, as well as publication and dissemination of findings). Develops and applies algorithms for summary and analysis of complex data structures. Conducts statistical analysis for assessment of association and in service of causal inference. Participates in the design and development of custom software to facilitate analysis of biomedical research data and/or big data derived from research or administrative sources. Provides data analytic support to ongoing observational and interventional studies, and leads or participates in analyses of secondary data structures ranging from modest to very large size. Supports the development of funding applications and provides on-demand assistance with data analysis and interpretation. Requires familiarity with statistical analysis, software development, visualization, algorithm development, supervised and unsupervised learning, predictive analytics. Advanced skills in data management, manipulation, and summarization are critical, and skills in natural language processing are a plus. Existing, or ability to develop, comfort with rigorous version control and the principles of reproducible research are required. The ability to work in a team-based research environment is essential.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), in collaboration with a Registered Nurse, utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to ensure quality nursing care and to maximize the quality of life for the patients. The Nurse Manager is responsible for oversight of the delivery of clinical care and the provision of excellent quality of life for all patients on their unit. The Nurse Manager ensures patients are assured autonomy, dignity, and choice. They monitor the provision of clinical services and the outcomes of the patients. Responsible for managing day to day operations including the oversight of quality outcomes, ensuring adequate and appropriate use of staffing resources, managing budgetary expectations and mentoring and coaching self directed work teams. HSL provides enhanced housing with services to seniors living in its three affordable housing locations, and at partner housing sites, with the goal of improving quality of life and supporting independent living.  At its core, enhanced housing with services is a proactive approach wherein resident services staff regularly and actively reach out to each individual resident to engage with them around their health and wellness, identify areas of need/risk and provide intensive, individualized case management and support as needed and desired by the resident.   The Wellness Nurse is a key member of the housing team working to support residents in living independently and safely for as long as possible by developing meaningful relationships with residents and providing supports in a holistic way.  The Wellness Nurse works closely with other team members to:  engage residents in wellness assessments and health education programs, connect residents to needed services, triage resident issues, provide a wide variety of case management tasks including coordinating care for residents returning home from hospital and/or rehab stays, ensure that all interventions are documented and tracked, and partner with community provider organizations.      Hebrew SeniorLife employees set the highest standard in our commitment to redefine the experience of aging.
