  • Overview

    The Grant and Contract Coordinator will coordinate and provide a wide range of pre-award and post-award services for the Hinda and Arthur Marcus Institute for Aging Research. Works as part of a team to ensure maintained records are adequate for federal and independent auditors. Bachelor’s degree and three-five years of progressive experience in research administration and/or general administration in an academic or hospital environment required.


    • Provide proposal development services to faculty
    • Develop and maintain research administration database
    • Implement electronic proposal submission software package
    • Review and negotiate proposals and awards
    • Preparing contractual agreements


    • Bachelor's degree required and three-five years required.
    • Must have experience with complex grants and familiarity with the NIH funding process, NIH policies, procedures, grants.gov, NIH commons, and foundation grant mechanisms. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
    • Proficiency in MS Office applications including PowerPoint, Access, Excel, and Word.
    • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and organizational capabilities.
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
    • Must have high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple and complex priorities in a deadline driven environment.
    • Must be a team player with a strong service oriented attitude with demonstrated ability to build successful work relationships across all levels in the organization.
