As a member of the Hebrew SeniorLife (HSL) Senior leadership team, the Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care Services (CNO/VPPCS) is responsible for establishing strategic goals and providing oversight of nursing and clinical practice for Hebrew Senior Life. Working with outside partners and organizations, the CNO/VPPCS sets priorities and goals for clinical practice to enhance the transition of care throughout the various clinical service lines. Internally, the CNO/VPPCS establishes and oversees budgets and operations that facilitate achievement of Corporate and departmental specific goals, including the achievement of positive employee engagement outcomes. The CNO/VPPCS is responsible for the administrative and clinical functions of the long term chronic care nursing, social services, life enhancement, spiritual care, expressive therapy, and bilingual and interpreter services teams and volunteer services on the Roslindale and Dedham campuses. Additionally, the CNO/VPPCS is accountable for the provision of person directed care and the implementation of Person Centered Care initiatives in the long term chronic care setting. In collaboration with the department of quality and other members of the executive team, the CNO/VPPCS is responsible for compliance with all federal and state regulations. The CNO/VPPCS sets nursing practice in the Post Acute floors (RSU/MCU) and is responsible for the ongoing professional development and engagement of direct care teams.
