  • Overview

    The Website Administrator is responsible for maintaining and updating Hebrew SeniorLife’s internal and external websites. They will work with our Communications and Marketing teams to optimize the user experience by maintaining the integrity, quality, and content accuracy of HSL websites, and ensure they align with branding, media relations, lead generation and fundraising goals. Using various technologies, they will play an active role in optimizing site content and will make recommendations based on website analytics.


    • Make all necessary updates to HSL’s internal and external sites, minimizing downtime
    • Monitor security and perform all necessary updates
    • Using Google analytics monitor, evaluate, and report all web analytics and related key performance indicators
    • Update content to reflect current SEO trends
    • Ensure content is up-to-date and in line with digital marketing strategies
    • Repair any broken links and fix reported bugs
    • Serve as liaison with server provider(s)
    • Contribute to discussions on ways to improve functionality and usability
    • Collaborate with business and technology teams to meet needs and improve efficiency
    • Reply to user comments and queries in a timely fashion
    • Gather and analyze requirements associated with optimizing and/or improving website performance
    • Keep apprised of current standards and trends in internet technology, providing expertise regarding best practices


    • Bachelor’s degree (equivalent combination of applicable education, training, certification or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
    • Evidence of continuing education, such as certifications, is a plus
    • 2 year’s experience in the technology field
    • Strategic thinking and problem solving skills
    • Able to manage multiple websites
    • Strong working knowledge of all relevant coding languages (PHP, Javascript, HTML)
    • Capable of utilizing web content management systems e.g. Drupal
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Flexible, self-motivated, and highly organized
