    Per Diem opportunity for a Sterile Processing Technician at our beautiful NewBridge on teh Charles location in Dedham.



    • Knowledgeable about each step of the decontamination and sterilization process (after receiving detailed training).
    • Familiar with instruments and equipment according to the Manufacturer’s Instructions for use (IFU).
    • Working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Collaborates well with colleagues and is a team player.
    •  Responsibilities
    • This position is responsible for cleaning, decontamination, packaging, sterilization, and storage of dental and podiatry instruments.
    • Follows the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center’s Policy and Procedures for decontamination and sterilization process including using the equipment such as the ultrasonic washer and the sterilizers.
    • Follows the quality control procedures for the ultrasonic cleaner and sterilizer per standard operating procedures and/or regulatory guidelines. Examples include testing the sterilizer using the biological and chemical indicators.
    • Uses exceptional organizational skills to track all soiled and sterilized instruments including preparation and receipt of instruments during transport to and from various clinics within the Hebrew Rehabilitation System.
    • Reports issues in a timely manner to the RN supervisor of the LTCH Patient Clinic, or Administrative Director of the Department of Medicine or another colleague who performs sterilization.


      Education and Certification:

      • Graduate of a certified Medical Assistant program or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
      • Graduate of a Sterile Processing Training Program preferred
      • Certification eligible as a Central Sterile Technician or as a Central Sterile Professional Department Technician preferred
