An affiliate of the Harvard Medical School, the Institute for Aging Research at Hebrew SeniorLife, has an exciting job opportunity for a statistical Programmer Analyst II. The Programmer Analyst will support faculty and study staff by managing, tracking, coding, and analyzing data, preparing reports summarizing descriptive statistics and analyses, and drafting parts of manuscripts. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with outstanding verbal and written communication skills who easily adapts to multiple and changing priorities. Experience with epidemiological studies and proficiency using standard statistical software such as R, SAS and Stata is required. Experience with big data wrangling, processing and analysis using modern software tools is a plus. The successful candidate will be highly independent and self-motivated, will be capable of developing a statistical analysis plan and executing it with moderate supervision from faculty, will be motivated to develop content-area expertise in the relevant area of heath in which she or he is working, and will be comfortable presenting results to investigators in a team setting. The candidate should have a master's degree or PhD in statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, or related field with at least two years’ experience working as a data analyst in public health or medicine.
