    The weekly schedule is Tuesday through Saturday with holiday rotations which may include evenings. 

    Responsibilities

    • Develop, coordinate, implement, and lead a variety of programs and social groups.
    • Facilitate cultural outings and sightseeing tours.
    • Collaborate with the Multigenerational team to execute various multigenerational programs.
    • Keep residents informed of programs and encourage participation.
    • Work collaboratively with other departments, such as coordinating logistics with the nursing, and food and beverage teams to execute programs efficiently.
    • Document and track resident engagement following programs and social groups.
    • During weekly meetings, discuss problem areas (including clinical issues) and determine the progress toward individualized goals.
    • Communicate with families of residents to build relationships and offer feedback on residents’ well-being.
    • Assist in orienting and training new staff, students, and volunteers.
    • Participate in process improvement. Offer input and ideas to improve systems and processes.

    Qualifications

    • Compassion for and desire to work with a senior population.
    • Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of commensurate experience
    • Excellent organization and interpersonal skills. Must have ability to innovate, think strategically and conceptually, manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle difficult situations.
    • Must be a professional, proactive, collaborative, conscientious and results-oriented individual. Must have an optimistic and positive demeanor, excellent oral and written communication skills, good intuition and sound judgment. Must be motivated to learn and flexible to change.
    • Experience with Windows, Word, Power Point, and Excel.
