The Compensation Analyst provides compensation support and advice to Hebrew SeniorLife’s human resources department and management team.  The compensation analyst partners with the Manager,  Compensation and HRIS to develop, maintain, communicate and administer Hebrew SeniorLife’s compensation programs.  Working with HR staff and managers, the Compensation Analyst conducts analysis and recommends changes to Hebrew SeniorLife’s programs and to specific employees’ rates of pay.  The compensation analyst will also lead or participate in key compensation-related human resources projects.




Key responsibilities include:

  • Interfacing with managers and employees, and resolving compensation concerns.
  • Evaluating new and existing positions.
  • Participating in salary surveys and performing market analysis for new and existing positions and recommending appropriate changes.
  • Performing internal and external equity analysis.
  • Developing consistent job descriptions for new and existing positions.
  • Updating and maintaining compensation data in HRIS and Compensation systems
  • Maintaining, communicating and distributing information regarding organization’s base pay and merit review programs.
  • Tracking and reporting on compensation changes and trends.
  • Determining appropriate exempt/non-exempt classifications including the creation and maintenance of appropriate justification documentation.
  • Compliance with all appropriate regulations.
  • Coordinating the flow of compensation information with payroll and outside vendors.
  • Auditing compensation data for integrity.
  • Reporting of key compensation metrics and data to management staff.


  • BA/BS with 3 years of related experience.
  • Strong technical skills in MS Excel, Word and HRIS application(s).
  • Prior experience with Salary.Com’s Comp Analyst system a plus
