    The Resident Program Manager leads the way in creating meaningful programs that support the vibrant platforms of life in Independent and Enhanced Living at Orchard Cove. The Resident Program Manager creates vibrant programs by cultivating ideas and building relationships with external professionals and with residents based on "what matters most" to every resident, with the goal of positioning Orchard Cove as a forward-thinking innovative community. The Resident Program Manager works closely with staff throughout the community, as well as residents and families to infuse vibrancy at every platform of life, and to make each day meaningful for our residents.

    Responsibilities

    Position Responsibilities:

     

    • Design creative and vibrant programs, monthly, to meet the needs of the community based on “what matters most” to individual residents, the Orchard Cove community, and forward-thinking prospective residents
    • Oversee the programming teams across the continuum by setting the vision and strategy and overseeing the implementation of daily events, and process improvement
    • Serve as the face of Community Life programming – champion events and communicate through individual conversations and community wide meetings
    • Develop deep partnerships with engaged content experts and performers
    • Serves as a coach within our Vitalize 360 program which serves as platform of life at Orchard Cove, helping individual residents explore and define “what matters most” to them. Serve as a member of the Vitalize 360 Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and oversee the IDT’s Wish List, using it to develop new and ongoing programs
    • Maintain a community wide feedback process to inform future programming opportunities
    • Oversee the Community Life team in facilitating the daily setup and break down of all functions throughout the community
    • Committed to a dynamic schedule based upon the schedule of programs. This will at times include being available in the evenings and weekends for the facilitation of events and programs
    • Serve as the staff representative on the Resident Activities Committee
    • Mange effective timelines, including daily, as well as short and long term goals, while maintaining a fluid flexibility that enables quick turnarounds within a fast paced and dynamic environment
    • Responsible for overseeing the department’s budget, department equipment, and supplies
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Proven creative ability designing and implementing content, programs (or curriculum) and partnerships for an engaged and educated audience. At least five years is preferred.
    • Positive, optimistic and energetic
    • Must care deeply about supporting the best life of individuals as they age
    • Exceptional customer service, teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills required
    • Bachelor’s degree required. Masters degree or equivalent experience preferred
    • Prior experience in senior living is preferred
    • Five- years of management experience preferred
    • Computer proficiency (i.e. ability to use MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel) required. Ability and willingness to learn new technologies required.
