Responsibilities

- Work with JSH team (resident services, facilities, dining services, fitness and spiritual care) to create an annual events calendar and maintain the annual calendar using Microsoft Outlook during the year
- Coordinate with JSH team to facilitate programs (.e.g. room availability, furniture set up, audio, visual, computer/other tech, food/drink, room temperature, marketing, etc.)
- Identify and/or schedule and facilitate payment for external vendors (i.e. musicians, lecturers, performers) to entertain, educate, and engage residents
- Work with the JSH Resident Services team to select and schedule MassHousing Tenant Assistance Program (“TAP”) programs
- Coordinate holiday programming throughout the year working with resident services department, spiritual care, facilities and dining services, and with the Jack Satter House Tenant’s Association (JSHTA) and Congregation 420
- Coordinate new and existing resident-led programs (i.e. Knitting Group, Rosary Group) by scheduling times, identifying meeting space, and coordinating with JSH team as necessary for set up
- Schedule weekly programs on in-house cable tv channel that entertain, educate, and engage
- Coordinate offsite programming including trips to museums, performances and other events
- Coordinate multigenerational and volunteer programming in collaboration with HSL volunteer department
- Attend programs as needed to ensure a smooth function
- Collect and maintain program metrics (i.e. date, time, type of program, # of attendees, etc.)
- Generate weekly bulletin using Touchtown software; collect staff input; print weekly bulletin and coordinate distribution
- Manage and maintain the “Touchtown” digital signage system
- Market programming events using weekly bulletin, flyers, VoiceFriend robo-call, Touchtown digital message system, etc.)
- Create and maintain “VoiceFriend” integrated messaging system for communications via robo-call, text and email to residents, resident groups, family and friends and staff
- Attend meetings and take minutes as necessary; maintain regular communication with JSH team members and other HSL communities
- Act as a point of contact between Executive Director and residents/family

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of Associate’s degree or equivalent amount of commensurate experience
• Experienced user of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Motivated to learn and acquire new skills, flexible, and open to change.
• Ability to work some weekends and evenings as necessary
