Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in Dedham. NewBridge on the Charles (NBOC), a 162-acre senior community with Independent & Assisted Living, skilled nursing and long-term care facilities from Hebrew SeniorLife, is redefining the way senior care is delivered. The schedule is as follows: 

Week 1 - Monday, 7a-7p; Tuesday, 7a-3p; Wednesday, 7a-7p

Week 2 - Sunday, 7a-7p; Tuesday, 7a-3p; Wednesday, 7a-7p

Responsibilities

The Staff Nurse is responsible for monitoring the health and wellness of the residents, in respect to overseeing health, nutrition and dietary needs, activities of daily living, medication supervision, and assessing safety concerns of the residents. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: overall well-being of the residents; supervising and training of C.N.A.’s; communication with all resident support services, physicians, health care agencies, and families; quality assurance; and regulatory compliance. The Staff Nurse will work directly on the resident care floor providing support and direction to all nurse assistants.

Qualifications

 

  • Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; advanced degree in health services.
  • 1-2 years experience with geriatric/dementia population.
  • At least 2 years experience supervising C.N.A.’s.
  • Excellent organizational skills and demonstration of strong clinical and documentation assessment skills.
  • Knowledge of community support services.
  • Experience in Assisted Living.
