Overview

The Development Services Coordinator position is part of the Development Operations team, reporting to the Manager of Operations. Candidates must be able to prioritize many responsibilities as noted below, and manage and coordinate several projects simultaneously and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Gift Processing: 

  • Handles data entry for gifts received for Development including outright gifts; pledges; pledge payments; securities; planned gifts and credit card donations. 
  • Capture all pledge agreement information in Raiser’s Edge including billing information.  Collect and maintain all legal documents regarding pledge agreements in secure file and within individual donor files. 
  • Responsible for Development bank deposits.  Compiles/balances monthly Development Cash and Pledge reports for Fiscal. 
  • Responsible for entering all new constituents and changes/updates to existing records within database.
  • Responsible for Electronic acknowledgements for all gifts; payments and membership dues under $1,000. 
  • Produces acknowledgements for all (non event) gift in-kind donations to HRC-HSL.
  • Run and email daily Donor/Gift Reports and weekly Goal Reports to Development staff.  

Records Management:

  • Data Entry – responsible for all new biographical record data entry in Raiser’s Edge.
  • Responsible for tracking new admissions to HRC:  long-term care; MACU; and RSU.
  • Electronically update records with some hands on verification and updating needed.  Maintain records for family members of long-term care admissions.
  • Responsible for pursuing new monthly lists and electronically updating and/or adding new records in database for satellites.

Prospect Research:

  • Responsible for reviewing obituaries daily and HRC Census which involves:
    • Notifying Development staff of all related pertinent info in a timely manner.
    • Acknowledging next of kin who have directed gifts IMO to HRC.
    • Updating all records in database with current information.
  • Responsible for entering all information from final donor profile reports into individual’s record in appropriate fields in RE and attaching full completed report to donor’s RE record.
  • Responsible for updating/writing short bio profiles on all event attendees prior to events.

Development Website Maintenance:

  • Assist Development Database & Systems manager in creating and maintaining Developments on-line web pages including Event Registration Pages, and Donation Pages.
  • Develop proficiency in the use of the Raiser’s Edge NetCommunity.

Reporting/Tracking:

  • Responsible for tracking credit card receipts/expenses for Development and FHSL staff and for compiling monthly reports. 

Qualifications

The chosen candidate will be a self-driven, results-oriented team player who takes initiative, and has the proven ability to manage a very high level degree of confidentiality, possess strong attention to detail, accuracy and organization skills; strong verbal, written and communication skills; and editing and proofreading skills.

  • High proficiency in MSWord and PowerPoint required
  • Raiser’s Edge experience not necessary, but a plus
  • Interest and/or experience  working with social media fund raising also a plus
